    Description

    For sale is a good sterling gravy boast and underplate in the CHIPPENDALE pattern by Gorham.  The boat is 7 7/8 inches long by 4 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches tall and the plate is 8 ½ inches long by 4 ¾ inches wide.  Together they weigh 423 grams. The set has not been monogrammed.  Both pieces are marked “GORHAM / (Trademark) / STERLING” and “Chippendale”.  The pieces are numbered “939” and “940”, respectively, and both have a Gorham date code for 1955.
    Condition on the set is good.  There is a shallow dent in the side of the gravy boat, and a couple of minor dings to the underplate, but nothing bad at all.  Some great hollowware in a classic style!
